The current growth witnessed in Malaysia’s oil and gas industry holds much promise for the domestic oil & gas service Companies. PETRONAS, as custodian of Malaysia's petroleum resources will continue to play a leading role in accelerating the development of our nation's oil and gas resources whilst paving the way for home grown capabilities and expertise.At the same time, we must recognize that the oil and gas industry is technically challenging and capital intensive; and it may not suit the faint hearted. While PETRONAS will continue to provide stewardship and opportunities, these will be met by service providers who are able to continuously enhance their capabilities, innovate and remain competitive.
